Vietnam National Day on 2nd September is one of the most important days for Vietnamese students at NTU. The annual National Day Celebration is held solemnly by VNNTU, convening hundreds of undergraduates, post graduates and alumni. They all gather to commemorate our country's creditable history, challenging revolution in 1945, and look forward to a more auspicious future. Besides, teamwork, innovation and creativity are highly appreciated through the preparation for fashion show, musical performances and drama competition. Moreover, freshies with excellent academic results and active participation in extra-curricular activities will be acknowledged via Book Prize awards which are expected to assist students financially. During the past few years, the celebration has received kind support from school offices (SAO, AAO) and the event's traditional corporate sponsors such as British American Tobacco Vietnam, OCBC Singapore.

Vietnam National Day Celebration is normally divided into two parts. While the early solemn section is aimed at arousing participants' greater national pride and encouraging upbeat attitudes towards self-constructive and contributing practices, the second section is differentiated by students' original, exciting and strong team- knitting performances. Each year, a new, unique artistic theme is proposed to achieve this purpose such as Fashion show (2007); Traditional Culture (2008); Drama performance (2009)
